ABOUT POIHIPI FARM STAY
Situated in Marotiri in the Waikato Region close to Taupo Poihipi Farm Stay features hills and tree views and is 35k from Taupo. There are pet sheep and chickens on the property.
The Cottage has one bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, dining and lounge with a covered outside deck for relaxing. The cottage is fully self-contained and private and has a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull out sofa bed which sleeps 2 in the lounge. We supply all linen, towels, and toiletries. There is a wood fire, washing machine, flat screen TV and we have DVDs, books and games available if you require them. There is a BBQ and a continental breakfast is supplied for quests. All kitchen utensils are supplied and the Redwood trees are an amazing backdrop to this accommodation. It is worth a visit just to hear the birdsong.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
The property has numerous tourist attractions nearby and is very close to bike and walking tracks, the Great Lake Trail, Pureora Forest, and is close to Kinloch, and Taupo.
A 25min drive to Taupo and you are able to book lake excursions, bungee jump, swim in the hot pools, dine at the numerous 1st class restaurants, visit Huka falls and enjoy biking and walk around the lake.
Rotorua is under an hour by car and there are numerous attractions there
Tihoi Pub is a 10k drive and is well known for there excellent pub food and hospitality. The Dam Café in Whakamaru is also 10k away and is a great place to visit after the bike trails or on your journey north. We are an excellent stopover for guests travelling Auckland/Wellington or in between.
Mangakino is a small town close by with a lake suitable for boating, fishing And swimming.
